Webinars
What is a webinar? According to Wikipedia
"A webinar is a neologism to describe a specific
type of web conference. It is typically one-way,
from the speaker to the audience with limited
audience interaction, such as in a webcast. A
webinar can be collaborative and include polling
and question & answer sessions to allow full
participation between the audience and the
presenter."
ICEL webinars are the collaborative kind. They are a
one-time event that takes place online, typically
lasting 60-90 minutes. The presenter will be a
subject matter expert who can speak on a topic
relevant to our work.
You will need an Internet connection and speakers
or headphones. The presenter will show slides,
perhaps share a website, and ask for your input.
You will interact via a chat window which is part of
the webinar page.
Our webinars are archived for later viewing and
usually include a summary document from the
presenter.
