Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills

ICEL is pleased to offer the Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills (SYIS)
Workshop in cooperation with International Training Partners. Created by and
for cross-cultural workers, this opportunity is expected to become an annual
event at our training campus.

SYIS workshops are designed to enhance ministry effectiveness by
providing training in key areas of biblical knowledge, godly attitudes
and the practical skills needed for developing and maintaining healthy
relationships. Training is very interactive, utilizing the most effective
methods of interactive adult learning. Learning activities include some
lecture, Bible study, small group tasks, whole group interaction,
demonstrations of skills, practicing of skills and prayerful reflection.

How to Participate
- Please submit a registration for each person who will attend.
- Childcare is NOT provided.
- Conference is free for IMB personnel. You may use your Personal
Professional Development Funds (study funds) to cover your
transportation costs, providing you have regional approval. Outside the
IMB, costs are $250 plus $50 per night for room and board. Contact ICEL
for more information.
- The maximum number of participants in each session is 24.The deadline
for registration is as follows:
- March 2, 2009 for the March 16-21 class.
- Please fill in all information below. An ICEL staff member will contact you
with confirmation information.
- This is not a training for trainers. You will not be certified to present
this workshop to others.
- You need to make your own transportation arrangements. We will help
coordinate your travel from/to the airport. Please arrive by 4:00 pm.
- Class begins on Monday evening, with supper and a session at 6:30
pm. Tuesday morning session is at 8:00. Training ends at noon on
Saturday.
